Capitals forward Tom Wilson was a menace all series long against the Montreal Canadiens in the first-round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Wilson shares strange post game comments about the Canadiens after eliminating them on Wednesday.

Stephen Whyno posted this tweet on X following the Capitals Game 5 victory.
"We knew that they were going to play kind of cheap and try and get us off our game."

What do you think Wilson means by calling the Canadiens "cheap"?
On the other hand, Wilson also had a lot of good to say about the young Canadiens' team.
Caps Tom Wilson on the Habs:

"I gained a lot of respect for that team over there. They got a bright future obviously. They competed really hard & they got a bunch of warriors»
Wilson's comments are definetly contradictory but he's for sure right about one thing, the Canadiens did not go down without a fight. Despite the Habs going out in 5, they clearly showed that they deserved to be in the playoffs this season.
Even Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery showed a lot of respect for the Canadiens following Wednesday's game.
Washington Capitals coach Spencer Carbery had high praise for the Canadiens after their Round 1 battle 👏
Carbery also had a lot of praise for the Canadiens' top line.
Washington Capitals coach Spencer Carbery on the Habs 1st line:

"That top line & what Lane Hutson has become this year, that's big time stuff in this league...When you're on the bench, you've got coaches, you've got players, trying to figure out who's coming on: 'Is it Kucherov, is it Point?' It's the same way with Nick Suzuki. It's the same way. That's the ultimate compliment I can pay..."
The Capitals will face the Carolina Hurricanes in the second-round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
