Today, Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery took home the coveted Jack Adams Award - a distinguished honour given to the best NHL coach in the league. While Carbery's award is well deserved, it generated quite the buzz around the world of sports, generating interest from the likes of Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn.
I think we can all agree that Spencer Carbery is well deserving of the Jack Adams Award.
Coming into the NHL as a rookie coach is no small feat, especially as his age.
To make matters even more impressive, Carbery took on the role as head coach on a veteran team, with some players almost matching his age.
That said, Carbery lead a team who barely made the playoffs last year to the top seed in the Eastern Conference, breathing life back into a team who weren't even predicted to make the post season.
