Montreal Canadiens fans mock injured Logan Thompson

For those who missed last game's unfortunate incident -- according to House of Hockey, Thompson was hurt after accidentally being run into by teammate Dylan Strome immediately after Montreal's Juraj Slavkovsky slipped the puck past him for a 5-3 Canadiens lead in the 3rd period.

Strome inadvertently cross-checked Logan Thompson up high as he was attempting to stop from running into him. He remained down on the ice for several moments before being tended to by a team trainer, and he required the assistance of his teammates to help get him off the ice.

As tough as it was for Capitals fans to watch, Canadiens fans seemed to love every second it-- and new footage shows just how low some Habs supporters were willing to go.

After the incident, Logan Thompson was helped off the ice by his teammates and the Capitals training staff, clearly in a lot of pain.

Normally, when a player is injured and needs assistance leaving the ice, hockey fans-- no matter which team they support-- show their respect with a polite round of applause.

But that wasn't the case in Montreal. Instead, Habs fans were caught on video heckling Thompson, showering him with a Bronx cheer as he struggled toward the Capitals tunnel.

Simply put-- it's not a good look for the Canadiens fanbase.

Personally, I get it-- playoff hockey brings out a lot of emotions-- but I'm confident Habs goaltender Sam Montembeault would've been treated with far more class if the situation were reversed at Capital One Arena.
