Ivan Miroshnichenko is heating up again for the Hershey Bears, and that is great news for the Washington Capitals prospect pipeline.

Hershey announced this week that Ivan Miroshnichenko is their latest PSECU Player of the Week. The winger returned with two goals and one assist in his first two games back in the lineup.
He had been away from the Bears for a stretch, shuttling between opportunities and watching others grab minutes. Now he looks refreshed, jumping into plays and hunting pucks instead of easing his way back.
Both goals came in classic Miro fashion, attacking off the rush and driving the middle of the ice. His assist showed the other side, winning a battle along the wall then slipping a quick touch into space.
Last season in Hershey, the 21-year-old posted 23 goals and 19 assists for 42 points in 53 games. He then added seven goals and five assists in 20 playoff games during the Calder Cup run.
Miroshnichenko, listed at six foot one and close to 200 pounds, brings a rare mix of power and touch for a young winger.
Drafted 20th overall by Washington in the 2022 NHL Draft, he already holds 10 points in 39 career NHL games.

Ivan Miroshnichenko powers Hershey surge

From the stands and on social, you can feel fans buzzing that his swagger finally looks all the way back.
On the ice, coaches are trusting him with tougher matchups, using his speed to pressure entries and his frame to close plays early. He has started to win more defensive-zone reps, which matters for any winger trying to earn Carbery's trust in Washington.
Elite Prospects once labeled him a bully on the ice with surprising soft skills, and the recent stretch fits that scouting report perfectly. Defenders hesitate when he gets a step, because he can lower the shoulder or rip a shot off the rush.
For now, the assignment is simple, keep stacking strong AHL games so the next recall feels inevitable rather than hopeful.
Another week of multi point nights, and it will be impossible for the Capitals to ignore when injuries hit again.
