Charlie Lindgren quietly keeps stacking wins for the Washington Capitals while the Sharks blowout nudges him past Jose Theodore on the franchise list.

In San Jose on Wednesday, the 31 year old turned the night into a personal milestone party behind a 7-1 Capitals win. Charlie Lindgren finished with a tidy one goal against, tracking pucks cleanly and even chipping in an assist on the rush.
Capitals PR initially noted 22 saves on 23 shots, while the final game sheet credits him with 23 stops on 24 attempts. Either way, the story is the same, Lindgren barely gave San Jose anything clean in the middle of the ice.
The win is officially his fifth of the season and, more importantly, his 63rd wearing a Washington jersey.
That nudges him past Jose Theodore, who had 62, into sole possession of eighth place on the franchise wins list.
Since arriving in Washington as a free agent in 2022, the undrafted Minnesotan has quietly turned into a dependable one A starter alongside Logan Thompson.
At age 31, on a three year, nine million dollar extension that runs through 2027 28, this is exactly what the Capitals hoped for.
Against San Jose, Lindgren looked completely dialed in on the penalty kill, sealing posts early and kicking rebounds safely into the corners.

Charlie Lindgren keeps rewarding Washington Capitals trust

The Caps are suddenly 17-9-2, nine wins in ten, and sitting alone atop the Metropolitan Division on the strength of this goaltending tandem.
Lindgren's four straight victories and Thompson's steady work mean Spencer Carbery can lean on matchups instead of praying one guy catches fire.
For an undrafted goalie who once bounced between Laval and Springfield, climbing into the Capitals top ten in wins feels pretty wild.
Jose Theodore backstopped Washington's rise in the late 2000s, and now Lindgren is quietly pushing past that chapter with his own.
The road trip finishes in Anaheim on Friday, another chance for Lindgren either to extend the streak or hand the net off in great shape.
