Anthony Beauvillier's winner in Los Angeles has the Washington Capitals and Tom Wilson talking about connected hockey and belief they can beat anyone.

Washington squeezed past the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 on Tuesday, with Anthony Beauvillier poking home the go-ahead goal early in the third period.
Afterward he talked about how the Capitals are «playing really connected» and believing they can beat any opponent on any night.
The 28-year-old winger now owns a four game point streak, with two goals and two assists, and his sixth of the season was the winner.
At the heart of that comfort is Tom Wilson, who kept his point streak alive at six games and scored for a third straight contest.
The 31-year-old, taken 16th overall by Washington in 2012, already sits at 26 points in 23 games after another power play strike.

Anthony Beauvillier highlights Tom Wilson's driving role

Beauvillier sounded exactly like one of them, raving about how his linemate sets the tempo in games and even in everyday practices.
On the ice, that energy shows in details, from Wilson's net-front screens to Beauvillier helping exits so Washington attacks with speed through the neutral zone.
Their revived power play, with Ryan Leonard hunting pucks and Jakob Chychrun running the top, keeps generating clean entries and quick looks from the slot.
The team account later shared Beauvillier on video talking about how confident this group feels, and his delivery matched the disciplined game the Capitals played. Reporter Sammi Silber also posted Beauvillier praising Wilson as a «big part of our team» who sets the pace every night and in practice.
It all tracks with the numbers, since Washington has won five straight and eight of its last nine while usually allowing two goals or fewer.
Logan Thompson's steady work, plus Alex Ovechkin quietly stacking a five game point streak, lets the forwards lean into this connected, aggressive forecheck.
Next up is San Jose on Wednesday, where another big night from the Wilson line could push this run from fun stretch to something dangerous.
