Andrew Cristall and the Hershey Bears keep humming, and Cam Allen finally has a first AHL goal.

Saturday in Hershey ended with a clean 4-0 win over Charlotte, with Mitch Gibson stopping 36 shots for his first AHL shutout.
The bigger prospect note was Allen, a Washington fifth-rounder in 2023, breaking through with his first AHL tally and it came on the power play.
That shutout pushed Hershey to 13-10-1-0, and it kept them right in the middle of a jammed Atlantic Division picture.
The club's own recap blurb credited the Ivan Miroshnichenko, Henrik Rybinski, and Brett Leason trio with two goals, which is exactly the kind of depth Hershey leans on all winter.
That goal matters because it shows the staff is trusting Allen in set situations, not just safe shifts and glass-outs. He can keep gaps tight, but the puck-moving is what gets him noticed.

Andrew Cristall drives offense in Hershey

Caps fans have been staring at the NHL lineup wondering where the next playmaker lives, and Cristall keeps raising his hand.
Hershey's notes Friday pegged his assist streak at six games. He's up to 20 points with 17 assists, and his passing is driving Hershey's touch game on the half wall.
At 20, Cristall isn't just piling up points, he's learning pro spacing and timing. You see it in how he curls away from pressure, then hits the weak side before lanes slam shut.
That's why the streak talk lands with fans, it feels repeatable, not like random bounces. Allen scoring on the power play fits the same theme, young skill earning real usage.
A post from RMNB suggested the streak hit seven on an assist for Allen's goal, pending confirmation. Either way, Cristall keeps finding seams early and feeding shooters before lanes close.
Cristall was Washington's 40th overall pick in 2023, and his pro game looks cleaner now, with quick scans on entries and touch passes slotward. If he keeps stacking apples and Allen keeps adding offense from the back end, the next call-up debate won't feel like wishcasting, it'll feel earned.
