Beloved Monumental Sports Network broadcaster Alexa Landestoy has been away from the screen lately - but for a very good reason. Recently, Landestoy shared the exciting news that she was expecting her first child and stepped away to prepare for the big moment. Now, she's made an announcement that has all Capitals fans smiling.
Her energy and presence during the pregame and postgame shows always set the tone, and she's been a fantastic addition to the network since the day she was hired.
Although she's been missed during her time away, Landestoy just broke the internet with news of her return - and it's happening sooner than you might think.
Alexa Landestoy to return to Monumental Sports Network for second round of playoffs
According to RMNB, Friday afternoon, the Monumental Sports Network host and new mom announced she will be back in action hosting pre- and post-game coverage of the Capitals' second-round playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes.
«I've enjoyed watching the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as a fan, but I'm even more excited to be returning to the broadcast chair!!» Landestoy wrote on X. «I've got my #1 fan, baby Isabella, at home cheering me on & mom is ready to get back to work!»

Alexa and her husband Michael recently welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby girl named Isabella Rae - and she's an absolute cutie.
I think it's safe to say we're all excited to see Landestoy back on the broadcast, and we're sure she'll jump right back in like she never left.
